Many said that fragrance is their obsession. Nothing gets them more excited than seeing a new fragrance displayed on a counter.
With others they love moisturizers, but they’re more a necessity. But perfumes and scents—once sprayed on, you don’t have to wait too long to find out if they’re right for you.
Some gets frustrated when a fragrance doesn’t smell the same way on me as it does when still in the bottle. But that only pushes them to look for the perfect one. It’s really like a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship. It must work both ways.
It’s decided by body chemistry, which is in turn a product of your diet, weight, lifestyle, even your skin tone.
A scent’s notes and concentration is what everyone should consider when choosing a fragrance. There are four basic themes for you to choose wisely: (1) Citrus. Light and fresh. Main ingredients are citrus fruits such as oranges, lemons and bergamots. (2) Floral. Sweet and ultra feminine. Made from one or more flowers. (3) Earthy. Subdued and clean. Sandalwood, honey and vanilla are common notes. (4) Musky. Strong and sexy. Musk scents can be created synthetically, but some perfumes still use the odorous sacs of animals such as deers or civets.
Here are some good application tips for you to perfect everything. Apply the fragrance on your pulse points such as the base of your throat, behind the ear and wrist. Do not rub; just allow the fragrance to settle.
Layering the fragrance will make the scent last longer. Layering begins during the shower. Use soap, shower gel, shampoo or conditioner of your desired scent. After toweling yourself dry, slather lotion or fragrant moisturizer to establish the scent on your whole body. Some scents also come in talc form, so dust all over your body before getting dressed.
Finally, spray on your signature scent all over, but especially on your pulse points. Bring along a small bottle so you can still apply whenever you need to during the day.
